Lars Vester is a Danish born artist living in Brisbane, working predominantly in the medium of oils.
Lars’ artistic career took off from a very early age.
He started painting in oils from the age of 10, and by the age of 16, he had his first sell out solo exhibition in his hometown Grenaa in Denmark.
Upon graduating from the Aarhus Art Academy, he completed his studies via an Apprenticeship of Art Direction, Graphic Design and Illustration at The Masters Group, Denmark.
In 1991, Lars followed his dreams and migrated to Australia, where he joined the advertising industry as an Art Director, and subsequently Creative Director. He continued painting part time until 2012, when he decided to leave the advertising industry to pursue his passion for art full time.
Lars has had a number of successful exhibitions in both Europe and Australia, including various solo, group and
Finalist's exhibitions. Some of his career highlights include winning the Artworld Landscape Prize, Best Oil at the Rotary Art Spectacular and taking out First Place in two seperate Painting Categories at the worldwide Light, Space & Time Art Exhibitions.
Lars’ work is represented in several private and corporate collections around the globe.
